AMBER Alert
program has been credited with the
successful recovery of 400 children!
One such success story:
October 19, 2008
Fairfax, Virginia
A 5 year-old boy was abducted from his grandfather while shopping at a warehouse retailer. An AMBER alert was broadcast in the Fairfax County area. Two men who met the suspect and unknown child in their Washington D.C. home identified the missing child from the AMBER alert and notified police. The suspect was arrested and the child was safely recovered. |
